Wellington Anxiety Specialists are looking for a psychologist to join the team. We are an anxiety specialist clinic operating in Central Wellington, with a small dedicated team committed to connecting with our clients and creating change. If you enjoy working with clients to achieve improvements in functioning and well being then this could be the place for you.

An opportunity exists for a motivated psychologist to join our small, supportive team to achieve meaningful outcomes for clients. The position is a contractor position, initially part-time, with room to expand as the business grows. The hours are between 8:30am to 5:00pm (some flexibility with these hours). Pay is a per-session-rate (to be negotiated). Some expenses can be covered (e.g. Annual Practicing Certificate) on a pro-rata basis.

The candidate must be skilled in providing interventions for a range of anxiety disorders and depressed mood. Experience/interest in anxiety treatments for children and adolescents is an advantage.

Position requirements:

  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate with the New Zealand Psychologist’s Board
    Degree in Clinical Psychology is an advantage
  • Skills and experience in conducting clinical assessment and providing evidence-based interventions to of a range of clinical presentations, particularly anxiety disorders
  • Clinical skills and experience with both children and adults
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedicated, reliable and self-driven individual, who is keen to be part of friendly and supportive team environment
